Our Specialty Coffee Roasting Process

At Carolina Coffee Works, our roasting process is a testament to precision, expertise, and dedication to quality. We employ the innovative technique of fluid bed roasting, also known as air roasting, to ensure that each batch of coffee beans is meticulously roasted to perfection.

We Source Our Specialty Coffee Beans Ethically From High Quality Farms

Air Roasting Artisan Coffee

Our fluid bed roaster utilizes a sophisticated system of hot air circulation to envelop the coffee beans during the roasting process. This method provides unparalleled control over temperature and airflow, resulting in a consistent and uniform roast profile. Unlike traditional drum roasters, which rely on conduction heat, air roasting eliminates the risk of uneven heating or scorching, preserving the delicate flavors and aromas of the beans.

Specialty Small Batch Coffee Roasting

We adhere to a strict policy of small-batch roasting, allowing us to maintain the utmost freshness and quality in every cup. With the capacity to roast 10lbs of coffee beans at a time, we ensure that each batch is roasted on demand, specifically tailored to individual orders. This commitment to freshness guarantees that you receive coffee beans at the peak of their flavor potential, with no compromise on taste or quality.

Mastering Artisan Coffee Roasting

Our expert roaster combines artistry with science to craft the perfect roast for each coffee type and bean variety. With precise control over roast profiles, we unlock the intrinsic flavors and nuances of our coffee beans, from the subtle floral notes of a light roast to the rich caramel undertones of a dark roast. Through years of experience and meticulous attention to detail, we consistently deliver coffee that embodies the essence of craftsmanship and expertise.
